Bruce W. Papps, CFA – Managing Partner

Bruce is founder and managing partner of Black Ridge with more than two decades of industry experience as an investment advisor in positions as vice president at Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers, Oppenheimer and Bank of America. Bruce also successfully owned and operated Papps Capital Group an independent advisory firm for over ten years and which he later transformed into an RIA and sold. With decades of diverse advisory experience, Bruce launched Black Ridge Consultants as a boutique style recruitment firm specializing in servicing the unique needs of today’s investment advisor.

Importantly, Bruce is Designated by Columbia Business School as an Executive Coach allowing him to apply his rich background and experience through the cutting edge art and science of coaching.

Currently, Bruce is a member of the CFA Institute, a charter member of the Penn Club of New York,  The CFA Society New York, and is vice president of the Wharton Club.

Bruce possesses the pedigreed Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and holds a B.S. in Economics and Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Charles Henderson – Managing Partner

Charles is a managing partner at Black Ridge and has over 20 years of experience in the areas of talent search and executive coaching with a focus on the international markets.

Previously, Charles worked as an international analyst with JPMorgan Chase on Wall Street, where he travelled to Asia, South America, Europe and the Middle East.

Charles holds an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business, and a BS in Economics and Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Travis Wocjick – Managing Partner

Travis is a managing partner at Black Ridge with decades of experience in recruitment and a focus on special situation placement involving the hedge fund and private equity sectors of the industry.

Early in his career, Travis worked in the world of sports recruitment and himself competed and secured titles in MMA and body building competitions on a national level.

Travis is a graduate of Columbia University in New York.
